Evans Engineering in World War II

Evans Engineering workers were relocated from Portsmouth in World War II and took over the Butler and Tanner works.

The company supplied Halifax undercarriages and undercarriages of Horsa Mark II Gliders for the RAF.

In 2014, Cynthia Evans and many of those who had worked here in wartime, visited Frome and viewed the films.
